Why is RADC 2.0 innovative?
The distance monitoring system not only detects objects behind the vehicle, but also dynamic objects from a defined lateral speed in the extended detection area, which has been specially designed for the cross-traffic detection. Based on such a detection, all monitoring signals are activated one after the other: the beeper - the acoustic detection signal - becomes audible.
Two outline lights transmit the visual warning signal by flashing, until finally the emergency braking mode in the Aspöck control unit is activated during the reversing manoeuvre, and the haptic feedback is transmitted to the Trailer EBS in the form of abruptly initiated braking with increased braking pressure. This is a highly effective way of preventing potential collisions.
